Vampire

Poem By Helen Young

A cool touch on the skin
eyes slowly closed
sharp pain on the neck
then pleasure if you relax
Does it feel good? Feeling
your blood being sucked away?

Crimson eyes shone in the night
As the sunsets and the moon rises
not a single human soul on the streets
footsteps echoed
smell of blood filled the air
metallic taste filled the mouth
of a single person

Beautiful yet harmful
the peak of full bloom

Hurt

As the teardrops fall
onto the dry cement
the birds are sadly calling
as the female watched as they left
