Venom

Poem By Shilp Malpani

The dark and light
That I am unable to fathom
Like a piercing knife
It cuts me in two halves

I beg sympathy
Cry for innocence
But I feel scarce
Burnt in a holocaust

The words hit a wall
And ripples away in sky
Occupying my dreams
Smothering me, under the night sky

The beautiful
Carries a sweet venom inside
I put my hand in the box
The red stream
Razor blades
Sharp knives

Beer

The pumpkin burst
The laughters’ curse
I was filled
And I was down

Lost

I can hear the sound
In the fast lanes,
Eager to make an impression
In a powder of dust
