Vicodin: A Quitters Dilemma

Drops of white heaven compacted into pill form
burning intensity in my pocket
hands fumbling them about
four tablets of glory waiting to be taken
the urge, the battle of my hell and splendor
four drops of pearly white beckoning from my palm
mouth salivating, whole body ready to experience
the pleasure and happiness of paradise
shaking hand ready to toss them in my mouth
only to release them into the pocket of another person
