Voted The Most Congenial
We must protect those who show us loyalty,
by Lawrence S. Pertillar
With affirmed committment...
To listen and appreciate their opinions when given.
Not many of us today live,
With a friend or family member willing to forgive...
Our temperments and selfish nonsense.
And I should know this from my own experiences!
Since I just happen to be observant.
And blessed to 'always' be one,
Who has a steady and sound stable mind!
Why do you have that smirk on your face?
'I admire your philosophy.
What is it going to take to remove it from your lips?
And to put it into actual practice? '
All through high school I was voted the most congenial.
'And fifty years ago, both of us walked to school.
In the snow and carrying books too!
When was the last time you've seen that? '
That's why you and I hardly see eye to eye.
You want to introduce 'details'.
And this conversation has nothing to do with that!
You seem to always want to start an argument over nothing!
