Voyeur

Visited my flick pics today
to see what others there would say
about the shots, the poses and the phrases
expressed by the oft hidden masses of unknown faces.

Voyeur. Now there's a thought!
Is that what our Internet marvels wrought?
Not god this time in this new age.
Virtual is this millenium's advantage.

We walk among the cyber souls.
Pop in and out of cyber holes.
Virtual and literal, play whack a mole
with thoughts to words as sites unfold.

Centaur-like, the photo couple shows
the master and marionette, in alternating roles.
See lovers intertwined in practiced pose-
a command performance, as the voyueur knows.

Actors all we wish to be
to gain our immortality.
That's why I am here today
and you in turn will read my play.

Thank you, Amanda. In the short time that I've been a member of this website, I have been fascinated by the dedication and creativity of the writers. I may even be more curious about the mechanics of a process that is so dependent on the Internet. That process is nothing like what any of us have studied about traditional poetry in school. It is a curiously attractive new field for me.
I'm sensing a theme, Mr. Celine. As a matter of fact, I was reading an article about such cyber worlds today in the newspaper. Washingtonpost.com (based in Washington, DC if you aren't familiar) has a rather interesting little ditty about some growing cyber political issue. I enjoyed your 'play'.
