Fasten Your Seatbelt

It's been a horrific drive
The mountain climbs
And valley dives

Clicking rumbling grinding noise
As metal kisses metal

Screeching tyres
The reek of rubber
Sulphur smell from burning wires

Something fumes
Parts that melt?

The brakes! The brakes!

It's been a horrific drive
From where I came
To where I am

Just as I sigh: "I am alive"
The signage blinks:

"Please fasten your seatbelt"

Clicking rumbling grinding noise...
