War is never over
Thought the treaties may be signed

Are forever in our minds

War Is Never Over by Cecil L. Harrison is a moving poem. It reminds me of a song I like called The Devil Don't Sleep by Brantley Gilbert. One of the lines is 'Battle scars, on my heart. Lord knows this war ain't over no'. I encourage others to read this poem because while it doesn't put us in these soldiers shoes, it gives insight on what they go through even after war has been declared over. I thank Mr. Harrison for his service to America.
This poem by Harrison is absolutely incredible. Harrison clearly shows his understanding of how effecting PTSD is. Many veterans experience PTSD and it's heartbreaking, it never goes away. The memories never dissipate for these soldiers and at the end of the day you just have to appreciate what veterans have done for this country!
everyone knows someone who has been to war or knows someone torched by it, it is the way of the world.
Great work Harrison! If we all think more like this, war would be embraced more reluctantly than the case today. War truly never ends because it doesn't matter where it takes place. War is war!
This is absolutley fantastic, it is very deep and talks about the sacrifices a soldier gives.
very very brood. only some one whos been there could write such a piece, my deepest respects
This poem touched me and made me think about the memories soliders must have.
