Washed Clean

Something kissed me in the fog
It felt wet like an evening frog
And not wet like a happy dog.

It made me feel in need of a bath
My body felt like a nasty spat
All over it -one whose meals are gnats!

I walked around feeling like a sore,
Everyone was looking, I knew for sure;
Then rain started to pour, and pour,

Man and child fled from it in lief,
However, I found it of great relief
My only worry was that it was brief

But it did me well and washed me clean
And though drenched I had a grin
That filled my face, you should have seen.
