Manacles clasp my hands,
Keep me wasting here,
As I watch my heart leave,
I see it disappear.
Trying to keep what’s left within,
Stone circles in my mind
Trap what I remember,
Close off what’s left behind.
As cold grey light shimmers
On my glistening eyes,
There’s rust around my wrists,
Drips from the tears I cried.
My wings may be white
But I will not be saved,
Life becomes devoid
As my heart wastes away.
