Watch The Rain

Fraught with imagination,
I stumbled into your room.
General bon vivant, I cursed the door
That led
In or out,
I could not tell.

'Keep me satisfied, ' I managed to stutter.
Reckless and cool, you smiled me on.
The rain came down and you
Didn't seem to notice as I charmed your fear.

The devil may care or maybe he doesn't.
But when the witching hour comes, I remember the hour
That I took the tougher road and left you behind.
And now insouciant demons dance on my heart.

Woman, it will be you and you alone
Or alone is how I'll stay.

Watch the rain
while I slip around back
Once more.
