We Wait

Our hearts still wait,
Wait for the rain in the desert
As if the ocean will dry up,
So that we can see...
See what awaits for us
Behind those moving trees,
Which in split seconds will lose leaves.

We already lost our dreams,
In this dry mysterious pastures,
We heard they were once green
But now we're here,
Our feet only feel the cold concrete
Shivering strikes our hearts.

We look up in the sun
Hoping that our aspirations will melt,
But now it reminds us of one thing
The golden brown of our skin,
But it does not matter we still wait
