We will never sail the mega-galaxies
We will never pop in and out of new universes
We will not even see the stars
We see now-

It will all be as if never was for us
And we will live
In our own great ignorance
In the middle of an ongoing change
We will never really understand-

I am too old now
And how can I expect to do at the age of seventy- five?

I Must Continue To Write

There will always be another poem
And with that poem- hope
However absurd-
So even if I despair
