Poem By J E Parker

Tangled in a web I spun myself.

Thick red wine
Strong black coffee

Good girl, swallow your pills
wait for them to take your ills

Broken people. shattered glass

Awake for days
that never pass.

I Was Once Told

'I do not live in the world of sobriety'

Hazy red wine.
Blurs the edges

Pointless Days

Broken eyes
full of sorrow
A pack of lies
time to borrow

She Said

' I'm just finding how
to disappear'
She Said

Hold Me Close

Hold me closer
Draw
me in.

There Are Nine Steps

I am going mad.
again.

One step forward
