What A Pity

Father's hand so warm
upon my cold frame,
I can feel what he never
gave me in life.

Mother's tears so sorrowful,
she understood me too late.
I can feel anger and hurt
apart from my fleshly vessel.

Father's kiss goodbye
is an unexpected one
for he was unappreciative
of my forlorn face.

Mother's farewell embrace
feels more comfortable
and honest.
But in life, it was nothing more
than her obligation.

Their only time of appreciation is satisfying
because I am not aware
with my eyes and flesh.
I am not aware
if it is feigned or favorable.
