What Friends Are For?

He’s shown me what he’s done
It doesn’t look right
Thank goodness I had but in
I saved a friend tonight.

Why he does it?
No one really knows.
It seems so wrong
But it’s what he chose.

He says cutting releases the pain,
But I can’t see how.
I’ve done what I had to do,
And hope he’s stopped now.

It is most definitely not right,
It’s not the way to go.
It just sickens me,
It sends me to an all time low

I won’t stop, I’ll never give up
It was better the way it was before
It just kills me to think I could lose a friend,
I care because that’s what friends are for.
