What Kind Of Fool Am I
What kind of fool am I, to know not what I want.
by Dayle Gaylin
To hear not what is said, to know only of hate.
A fool who will never know of the joys of a gift.
But will know only of the blunders I make.
Stepping backwards in time as I go my own way.
Leaving sadness and hard aches as I go.
What comes of a fool who’s got nothing left,
But memories of nothing to show?
Ask any old fool who knows not what he wants.
Or hears not what is said or sees not what is shown.
But don’t ask this fool, cause I’ve nothing to say.
It’s better to be unheard of and alone...
