Walking into the abyss,
by shaun cummings
The world a constant blur
Every thing is oblique
Always thinking you will never be missed.
No one can really see,
Temporary happiness frequents the mind
Fake smiles grace your face
And no matter how big you ever are you always feel tiny.
Does the world know you’re there?
You’re going down the way no one can see,
The whole time knowing they won’t be “looking for me”,
But in your mind you don’t care.
The darkness greets you,
Your mind escapes,
Every moment is lost,
There is no reason to continue.
But then you see it,
The life you once lived,
The people that were there,
All of them really do care.
It picks you up,
What-you can’t explain,
Your mind tells you the reality of things,
The truth of your being.
You question no more what you thought the end,
The Abyss escapes you and never comes back,
This story ends a happy one,
And all you really had to do was sit back and relax.
