When

When you turned your gaze away from my face,
I never acknowledged the nape of your neck;
Nor had i accepted the curve of your shoulders;
For, forever etched in my heart, was our love;
A passion shared devoid of embers;
Raging with life, devouring obstacles of
Unfaithful hindrances, like vines creeping along
To strangle the reality of our vibrant purpose;
When you turned your face back to our nexus,
The secrets of your silence screamed truth;
Our side-tracked paths are destined to meet,
In the eternity of true soul mates.

A great poem, true soul mates are hard to find.
