When Fools Read The Headlines

Poem By lalitha iyer

They look at
at the shapes
sketching words
the goemetric hypes
Dimensions
Angles and Mathematics
and what not
but only the Apparent;

When the Bikinis reveal
all interesting looks
the inner beauty
is the discovery
of aged souls
wise and realised

Who will dive deep
when the surface swims
with pleasures enough
Sadly, wisdom is
in probing inners
penetrating the invisible
learning the coded secrets

Comments about When Fools Read The Headlines

The poem explores/hints at the sublime through very skillful use of everyday imagery (the headlines!) and other associated images...Marvelous poem.
