When I Fell Asleep, I Had A Dream

Poem By Michael Antone Sr.

When I fell asleep, I had a dream.

When I fell asleep, I had a dream.
When I woke up, I knew this was no dream.
Thinking I died, but this is the deal.
Everything I seen, it’s truly for real.
I take pride in protecting my heart.
Holding my heart and how I feel,
It’s the one thing I want on one to steal.

With every moment and of every hour,
When I say you remind me of a flower.
I think how I can compare you to be so fade.
To the beauty, that your image
Holds and portrays.

I said I’ll give you time, and give you space.
But if you only knew, you’ve filled my heart
With love in its place.
I’m hoping and praying, this is for real.
Cause I’m taking a chance and telling you how I feel,
That this beautiful woman, she is the deal.

This is my heart in hope and bliss,
If you like this poem, can I have a kiss?

Take My Breath Away

'It's not the number of breaths you take but the number of moments that take your breath away...'
