When Most Sleep

When most sleep,

There is another world,
Dark, meaningful, and deep,
Abundantant with shimmering stars,
Sequins on a black velvet night.

A time of secret silence and beauty......

Where your heart beat is the loudess stillness.

Where imagination, fantasy, and desire entwine,
and all dreams have possibility.

So real, so real,
So real it shrouds me in faith like the cloak of the night.

Beckoning me, so real till the morning light,
Till this magical shimmer turns,
Into the blush of a new day.

And I pray with the dawning of a new light,
I can sleep and forget the dreams I had tonight.
