What Is Love?

Poem By Bradley Lester

The pendulum cries
a moment burst of flames
to carry out
my own disgrace.

Then a moment burst out of
thunderstorms
rainclouds of deceit
flood of anguish
downstream,
return to the ocean
deep splendor.

The pendulum rises
torrid stone shots
death to the unknown
then it falls again
the other side
and from earth gone cries,
the weary eyes
come down descend
and uphold
and uproar.

As the pendulum never stops
so is the outskirts
of what’s hidden inside
and I cry
laugh at the void
emptiness of which no point
return to the inner maze
no outsiders
no soul
no space.

Clash!

leaves split, travel in light speed
as it hums a reflected bright beam
gushing lines in a heartbeat
it skips and serenades

Wings

they are a pair
of unlikely butterflies
wings wide bright
cuddled in the night

Torture

and the thunders roll under my feet
the ground jolted as the sky
trembled in deceit

Snowblind

the dark side of me still lingers
and the paranoia never stops
burried this soul
to dead flowers

And Now I Stand

if you go i will not run after you
not anymore
not in a decade
not in a light year

Lapse

Dark shadows
Heavy rain
flickering spark lights
unfounded; vein,
