While I Am Away

Poem By Reginald Goodridge

So the mountaiin greets me
Pleasantly every 24 hours
Just about when I'm turning over
Consumed by its massive green powers

The ability to heal all senses
Imaginations projected to heaven
Trees and flowers never before touched
Simplicity in falling waters, I crave them

All of my fears, doubt, emotions
Washed away with your mountain mist
Softly the sun grants me one more chance
while I'm away, dream catching, so simple, to exist
