Whispers In The Wind

Poem By Nicholas Oifoh

They said I will never have a chance with you
Rejection after rejection took each piece of my heart
Since I laid my eyes upon you
My lave has been pursuing you
And I have yet to catch you
People will tell me to stop trying
Trying to get with a person that doesn't love me
But my love is far greater than inhumane words
Sometimes I would just sit near my window
And here whispers of your love
But still wondering if you are playing with me emotions
Each breath I take, I utter your name
With each thought, your face comes into my head
I continue to hear whispers of your love
I finally whisper back 'I love you'

Comments about Whispers In The Wind

Nicholas, take a deep breath and start over. You have way too many misspelled words to give the readers a chance to enjoy your poem. lave for love, here for hear (you do know the difference?) There is one place where your line ends with the same word as the beginning of the next line. When writing poetry, it is best to try not to use the same words too many times. It becomes a challenge to us poets to find a better word, line after line. When I read love poems, I grow bored with the word 'love.' I'm wondering about whether the poet has a limited vocabulary. Keep writing and keep working to do better. Raynette
I dont think 'lave' makes sense in the 4th line. It is a verb which means 'to wash'. Did you mean to say 'And hear whispers of your love'?

Tears Of Tragedy

On the beginning of that September day
Our flag was wailing in the wind
As we were to celebrate another day of our freedom
Many lives were going to change forever

Confessions Of Pain

Each day I look outside my window
I realize you are gone
I can’t show the pain and anger inside
The only thing I can do is hide

The Agony In Me

The mild image of rolling grasslands, the fine moisture of morning dew
Water so cool and calm
Thoughts so distant from me now, as I'm forced back to my hell
Now I lay here battered and bruised

Lost Somewhere

My body just feels so empty
I try not to let out my tears
All my violent screams of anguish
Are the only things I can hear

The Unheard

She is crippled, scarred and bruised
On the inside of her young broken heart
No one is here to see what she is going through
A faint utter for help, in her awful dismay
