Winter In The Wild

The sun, like a glacier in the
heavens
Casts its chilling, blue light
On the unyielding crusted banks
of snow
The hungry caribou, with torn &
bleeding hoofs
Scrape to uncover dried &
lifeless foliage
That he might assuage the ever-
present pangs of hunger
In the shelter of a rock
A LEAN, GREY WOLF WAITS.
