Wish & Tells

Poem By Idwal John

colourless odourless shameless
few of us are really blameless
I used to play the piano
-very badly, but I got by.

inciteful spiteful delightful
your clothes fell off, I copped an eyeful
you used to sell insurance
the slippery-sloperry, it's alright.

bovine iodine guideline
some of us have got an audience
I once met a man who ran a chip shop
he stood in flip flops and sat in mud.

catflap flapjack pitterpat
not everyone can be a diplomat
a girl on the stage never tells her age
to little know-it-alls or big baboons.
