With You Always

Poem By Antoinette Padua

Excited minds and frenzied thought
Hurried up the mount-
Again still unbelieving caught
A glimpse of life divine,
Again the summons spurs them on
That they should understand -
'My life was lived that you might fill
Your nets with holy wine.'

Invisible the veil yet bright
That wrapped around the Lord-
Their hearts and wills at last were caught
Entwined by rays divine -
He seemed to rise above the skies
But that was merely sight -
The souls believe now know Him rise
Within their own souls' plight.

That He's not gone - within their hearts
He makes His promise true -
He is with us - how could He leave
Wrapped round by love divine?
Excitement gone, all frenzy calm
By a breeze the peace of love,
They hurried down the mount to wait
The Father's promised wine.

What a beautiful religious poem. Love it. Your words flow out so well and really do evoke the divine. The images and theme of love divine resonate and bring meaning.
