Wonderful Souls

Wonderful souls, wonderful souls,
Innocent as little birds in the nest.
Wonderful souls, wonderful souls,
You cannot tell a thumb from the limb.

Wonderful souls are like fetus
That rejoice in the womb for the day of birth
In ignorance of the poverty that befall the parents,
That papa has been jailed for wrong course and mama is sick.

Wonderful souls, wonderful souls,
I wish you know that the rose
Despite the beauty is covered in thorns
And so also those that will embrace you after birth.

Those who look like your brothers are serpent
Who had sought your yolk while you lay in the shell.
Out there are hawks that pirouette the sky
To have your fresh skin for meal.

Wonderful souls, wonderful souls,
I wish that you can see that what you called a chain
Is a shield, you will reject the liberty you crave for out there.
