Word Candy

i, unwrap slowly
meticulously twisted plastic wrapper
conceals
tiny sweet word.
i, lift colored plastic wrapper
remove
sticky lovely word.
place it on my tongue.
rolls around clacking teeth
sugar color melting
word
tapping my molars
bicuspids
looping around the back
entrance to my throat
riding saliva to behind my lips
licking the ribbed roof of my mouth
inside of cheeks.
word, i have eaten you, word
you have spoken.
swallow.

Anna, interesting how they print words on candy, but at the same time, words can be as sweet as candy... good write! ! Brian
