Worldly Victims

As victims of this world
Haunted by our own desires
In them that we are all sold
As captives in our own world

We look into the sky
Humbly waiting for the rain
Like a leaf hanging to dry
Hopes which at times end in vain

We sit as if we are in abolition
With our bellies shrunk and mouths dry
Exhausted by hunger and malnutrition
Expecting someone to feed us

This world we live in
In which we were born already with a sin
Truly the world is so unfair
Filled with people who seldomly care

For now, we are already victims
Now and then we just live as pilgrims
In this world that we were just sent
Humbly waiting for our end
