Wrapping Joy, Feeling Its Spirit

Poem By RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Jolting this mere poet out of a stupor caused by slow music taking
precedent, running through this mind as every beat steadies itself
in a tranquil episode of peace that never wants to be taken away.

Living for adrenaline that continues to pour from within an intense
energy of the Divine, resting upon the beating of a measured drum,
lifting mind and intellect out of the slump of too slow melodies.

Now a rapid one has picked up pace, turning this being into the
fastest point while mind is dancing around the floor, free and happy,
taking joy and feeling it wrap itself around this soul and spirit.

Descriptive Poem

Tar sucking in warm rays of the sun.
Ivy crawling and clinging closely to a wire fence.
Brick buildings standing, feet apart, looking over the streets.
Flowers shooting out their beautiful colors to passers-by.
