Yo No Hablo

Poem By Timmy Curran

Oh mujer, praise me not
you mean to build me
but my thoughts turn distraught
I simply can´t see
the transition of words
they´re so mixed in my head
the meanings all blur
and coalesce into lead
One day, I can pray
when a question is posed
I´ll say, 'yo no se'
and I´ll say it composed
This is where confidence takes rest
Oh mujer, I assure you I am doing my best

I don't grasp to them too tight,

Born Yesterday

Oh wow, you should've been born yesterday,

Getting attention from the wrong people
Young and I´m fresh and my strut is lethal
I´d ask you your name but I get cold feet, girl
