You
AH (12/16/71 / Westfield, MA)

You

I shed a tear today, not one, not two nor three
The waters of my eyes were plentiful indeed
Priceless was each trickle that meant the world, you see
Each one embraced with precious memories of both you and me

Comfort, now I feel knowing you are near
The day will arrive when the eagle soars I fear
Perhaps what is to come will be a barrier set a fore
Remember nothing is lost, there are memories to adore

Tender are these memories caressed with such moving sorrow
Embrace them close within your heart, for not knowing what may come tomorrow
Whisper softly in my ear, that I, you will by no means forget
For you have appeared from somewhere, and never will I regret

Thanks for balancing my sentiments. This is one to hold onto and reread whenever needed.
