You And Me

The tide ebbs
Washing away our memories
Of that day by the sea
Just you and me

So happy that day
Not a simple care
We had such fun
In the sun
And that was our affair

Secret and wrong
And we both knew
It wouldn’t last
But while it did
What fun we had
Now it’s in the past

The seaside town hasn’t changed
In fact it’s brighter now, You see,
we had fun
In the sun
That day of you and me.
