You'Ll Never See

Poem By Tegan Brown

My eyes you'll never see behind these colors
Can you ever open up these shutters
And if you do, it's just too dark to see
I can't ever answer all your wonders
You won't ever know because I don't know me
My memories were raped since the age of three

Maybe I should unlock this little door
So you may stare into my oblivion
Search deep and find my core
The ice that I've been living in
But these walls are making me cold and sore

Stop prying these thoughts out
They're all I can't stop thinking about
I've got to start building a better boarder
So I can find out without a doubt
Is it just a mental disorder?
I wish I could replay my life on some recorder

These secrets you'll never be able to find
Don't think I'll open up to pain
Just so I'll end up drowning in the rain
If you can't get it through your mind
Like a blade, my memories stain
I'll show you the marks if you'd just be kind
