Your Feet

When I cannot look at your face
I look at your feet.
Your feet of arched bone,
your hard little feet.
I know that they support you,
and that your sweet weight
rises upon them.
Your waist and your breasts,
the doubled purple
of your nipples,
the sockets of your eyes
that have just flown away,
your wide fruit mouth,
your red tresses,
my little tower.
But I love your feet
only because they walked
upon the earth and upon
the wind and upon the waters,
until they found me.

Is this the only poem written to the feet? Who knew it would be so sensual and so full of love
My nipples are pink not purple
This one is just, amazing..
Holy crap....AWESOME!
Wow! I've just come across this because I'm painting a picture of feet and want some words of inspiration to incorporate into the picture. I'd love to quote this poem... It's beautiful and just what I'm after! Can I use a line or two in my painting? Obviously I would quote your name in the picture too. Not sure if that's breaking copyright rules? ?
