Your Hands

Your hands are always warm,
smooth and good to hold.
Still amazing beautiful too,
despite the scars and spots of age.

Your hands are broad and strong,
with Mount of Venus high
and nails (always manicured)
shaped like fine almonds.

Your hands move confidently,
deftly, like a woman's,
performing mundane tasks
with easy grace and style.

Your hands, some thirteen years ago
in Lygon Street, held mine.
And at that moment, I knew
we belonged together.

Those hands are so expressive in the way they show the love. Bob
Oh, Alison! What a remarkable poetess you are, indeed! ! Your hands hold the penning of love...the pinnacle of what hands are truly for. Read this one, won't regret it! ! ! xxxElysabeth
Hello Allie, I love hands, too... something ultra masculine, sensual even, about a man's hands and the things they do. I wrote a poem, too, about hands, 'His Hands'. Great minds think alike, huh? I so enjoyed your poem here. Love, CJ
A nice read, to the point and very warming to the heart. Great beats too..
