Wendy Lewis, prominent Graphic Designer and Illustrator, died last night from complications of losing her soul mate. She was 44 years old. Soft-spoken and full of faith until the end. Lewis never looked the part of a hopeless romantic but in the final days of her life, she revealed an unknown side of her psyche. This hidden quasi-Jungian persona surfaced during the revelation that she screwed up big time with her long reputed soul mate, a man whom she only spent a few precious years with. Sadly, the protracted revelation ended late Friday night in complete and utter heart failure. Yet even in certain defeat, the courageous Lewis secretly clung to the belief that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences but rather, it is a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. Asked about the loss of her dear friend Dawna Swartz described Wendy as a changed woman in the last days of her life. Things were clearer for her Swartz noted. Ultimately Wendy concluded that if we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call fatum, what we currently refer to as destiny. In the end her heart gave out in defeat, knowing that she would rather live no life, than half a life without her soulmate. Lewis sadly died of a broken heart late Friday night.
